Building process:Inspiration:Final Product:Reflection:This piece had been mainly done because of my dress. I had made all of the roses for my prom dress but I didn’t like it when pinned to the dress. What I decided to do was make some other fashion piece just so I wouldn’t be wasting what I already made. Looking at some really detailed pieces that weren’t fabric I came up with the outfit. I didn’t want to go big again so I decided to make just a shirt. The piece wasn’t something that was going to happen but I then decided I wanted to experiment with extra fabric. Since I wanted to continue with fashion I decided to make thin sheets of fabric to layer. I have never done much into fashion but since I have been enjoying it I decided to do something different. I decided to layer the fabric around tape to do something different. My first piece I ever did was over wire, the other one was just sewed fabric, so I wanted tape to be a new medium. The roses were also a big experiment that in my opinion I will never do again. They are big and thick so when trying to sew the petals together it was hard. I had tried so many different ways I even at one point broke my needle. I started to go online for example and I was able to sew in layers but it took so long just to make the five flowers. Even though this piece was small and quick it taught me more about fashion. I do know I may never go into fashion but at least I get to experiment with my fashion beauty ideas in this class.

I love the process in this piece. Would love to see its more professionally presented. As is, a bit blockish looking with no curve. I think on a figure or mannequin, that could be easily pumped up.
