Junior year:
In my Junior year I have learned a lot in which mediums I enjoy the most, what things I like to draw, and how to take risks. I learned that even though I may not be the best at it I really like acrylic and watercolor. I think I really enjoyed being able to layer colors build up a very colorful pictures. However my favorite medium I have found for myself is chalk pastel. I think all of the pieces I have made out of it are really amazing and have incredible detail for something made from that medium. I still however have many more mediums to explore so I am not going to be sticking to just this one in my senior year. I think in the great detail of my drawings and in my 3-D work was where I took the risks. In the 3-D work I was able to make things like the flower shoes , the light house and the koi fish. They all had such tremendous detail that I had brought to another level compared to my sophomore year. I even got my inspiration from my sophomore year. The other risk I took was in my fashion pieces. I worked big and life size. The ballerina outfit was a massive clay piece that dealt with many long hours with many tiny objects. There was then the prom dress in which was something I was proud enough to wear. It was simplistic yet very hard. It took me a while to make yet it has a simplistic flowy design.
